I had chocolate for breakfast, and I’m wondering how many Oscar nominees just did the same thing.
I’m oddly excited for the Oscars this year, and I think it’s because I’ve actually “done the homework” and watched the films/actors that were nominated. Most years I have no idea what they’re on about, but this year I feel like I’m part of the “in” crowd. I’ve paid attention, I’ve filled out my bracket…now I’m ready for the wins and upsets to come.
I remember when I used to live in LA and walking past the Kodak Theater (where they hold the Oscars). It’s very funny because you can just walk up those stairs, no issue ON ANY OTHER DAY. In fact, it’s next to a t-shirt shop. Not sure if the custom t-shirt shop is still there, but just know that at one point, if there were a wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet, the celebrity could walk right into the shop and emerge with a t-shirt sporting his/her name.
What makes me uncomfortable about the Oscars is the idea of having to sit for hours in one of those dresses. Now, it’s one thing to wear a nice dress to a wedding, start having champagne and then have a dance; however, it is quite another to be wearing a silky gown with cleavage showing and sit in an auditorium for 4 hours while being filmed! *shiver* Makes me wanna put on a hoodie just thinking about it.
Hoping “Moonlight” takes the cake!!!
